“The Death of Slim Shady” lead single continues its global run, earning a 2× Platinum plaque in Brazil thanks to massive streaming numbers.
Under the Pro-Música Brasil system, certifications for international singles combine physical sales, downloads, and streaming across audio and video platforms. To go double platinum, a song needs to sell 80,000 units — the equivalent of 16 million audio streams or 80 million video streams in any proportion.
It is one of the highest recognitions “Houdini” has received so far. The track recently hit a similar milestone in Poland and went even further in Canada, where it is already 3× Platinum. It is certified Platinum in Austria, Belgium, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the UK. So the race is on: who is going to be the next to award that second platinum plaque?
