From mixed reality to virtual art direction, “Houdini” pulled off a clean sweep across several categories categories at the 2025 Telly Awards.

The music video for “The Death of Slim Shady” lead single earns a new recognition: this time at the 2025 Telly Awards, where it took home a total of seven trophies, including four Golds.

The video earned Gold in the following categories:

General – Music Video
Craft – Virtual Art Direction
Craft – Digital Environments
General – Immersive & Mixed Reality

And it did not stop there. Houdini also scooped up three Silver awards for:

Craft Direction
Craft – Use of Real-Time Rendering
General – Music

Known for its blend of high-gloss visuals, nostalgic callbacks, and tech-savvy execution, the “Houdini” video is one of Eminem’s most technically ambitious yet. It brings together storytelling, cutting-edge design, and fan-pleasing cameos into one seamless time-travelling ride. Clearly, the judges were impressed. And especially they were impressed by the work of virtual production company Synapse, led by longtime Eminem collaborator Rich Lee, who previously worked with Eminem for “Not Afraid”, “Rap God”, “The Monster”, “Phenomenal”, “Walk on Water” and “Venom”. “Houdini” is another successful project on his list.
