New Eminem verse recorded for Nas’s fresh album “King’s Disease 2” is full of appreciation for hip hop and hip hop artists.

Marshall takes time to pay homage to rappers that have passed away recently. But he also makes sure that those who are still around are getting their recognition.

In a very humble manner, far from his earlier braggadocios songs, he expresses the hope to be counted as equal to “the greats” and then proceeds to name these greats, from Big Daddy Kane to Nas:

I just pray for the day when
I’m able to say that I’m placed
With the greats and my name’s
with the Kane’s and the Wayne’s and the Jay’s
And the Dre’s and the Ye’s and the Drake’s
and the J Dilla’s, Jada’s, Cool J’s
And the Ras and amazing as Nas is,
and praise to the Gods
Shout to the golden age of hip hop
