“King’s Disease II” has been out for less than three days, but streaming numbers already show which album track the public favours the most.
On Spotify, Nas’s collaboration with Eminem and EPMD counts the biggest number of plays — over 679,000. “EPMD2” and “Rare” (over 621,000 streams) are the only tracks from the album that have breached the threshold of 500,000 million streams so far.
On YouTube, “EPMD2” audio has gained over 1.3 million views since the moment of its release. The second popular audio track from the album is “Nobody” feat. Ms. Lauryn Hill (787,000 views). “Rare” has a lower count on YouTube as an audio track because the song has the visuals uploaded to the platform, and the video views (735,000) combined with plays coming from the official audio (194,000) still secure the second most streamed status for the song.
Meanwhile, on iTunes, which does not disclose streaming numbers, we can judge how songs perform by their rankings on the iTunes chart. While “King’s Disease II” is currently charting at iTunes US No.1, there are only two tracks from the album on the iTunes US Songs chart: “Nobody” feat. Ms. Lauryn Hill at No.20 and “EPMD2” feat. Eminem & EPMD at No.6.
Nas’s joint with Eminem debuted on iTunes US chart at No.5 on the day of release. Outside of the United States, “EPMD 2” has charted in the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Spain and Australia.
