Vlad claims Eminem has never spoken about certain topics and hopes money will get him to talk. However, Eminem addressed these issues years ago, and even more importantly, he does not do interviews just for a check.
In a recent conversation with Cam’ron, the interviewer and media personality revealed that his ultimate goal is to sit down with Eminem for a deep, unrestricted conversation. And to make it happen, Vlad is willing to pay $100,000.
What does Vlad want to talk about? Just like in a recent conversation with Bootleg Kev, he insists that if he and Eminem were to talk, it would be “the biggest thing [Eminem] has ever done media-wise”. He imagines an open-ended, no-time-limit discussion, diving into topics he claims have never been addressed — starting with the infamous tapes Benzino used in the early 2000s in a smear campaign against Em.
I’ll pay 100,000. If I get a real one – no time limits, we can sit for two-three hours, nothing is off limits – then yeah. Absolutely. Remember those “racist tapes” that came out? He’s never spoken about that. Imagine that type of conversation!
But there is a problem with that claim: Eminem has spoken about it. Back when The Source magazine tried to weaponise the recordings against him, Em directly addressed them, taking accountability for what he called “the foolishness” of his teenage years. That did not stop Benzino from dragging the issue out for years, and now Vlad seems eager to resurrect it yet again.
If DJ Vlad thinks $100,000 will get Eminem to sit down, he might want to check the rapper’s track record. Em has repeatedly turned down massive financial offers, proving time and time again that money is not his motivation.
Here are just a few of the paydays he has walked away from:
– $1,000,000 to appear on Adin Ross’s livestream.
– $8,000,000 for a movie role.
– $9,000,000 to perform at the 2022 World Cup Final in Qatar.
– $100,000,000 for a world tour with 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg.
Clearly, Eminem is not hurting for cash, and he certainly doesn’t need DJ Vlad’s money.
It is no secret that mentioning Eminem’s name generates attention. Over the years, plenty of podcasters, bloggers, and even rappers have used it to boost their visibility. Vlad, who has built his brand by reviving old beefs and pushing controversial narratives, seems to be doing just that.
Several looming hip hop figures, including Royce 5’9, Lord Jamar, Nick Cannon, and Vince Staples, have distanced themselves from Vlad, calling out his approach to hip hop culture. N.O.R.E. even went so far as to demand Vlad take down all the interviews they had done together.
Yet, despite all this, Vlad still believes he can make this happen. But will Eminem ever do it? The short answer is no. Do not count on it. Eminem rarely does interviews, and when he does, they are with people he respects — not those looking to stir up controversy. If money were the key to getting him to talk, he would have cashed in long ago.
