The first single from D12’s debut album “Devil’s Night” has obtained a Platinum certification from the British Phonographic Institution.

The song exists in two versions: deliberately outrageous and sarcastic “Purple Pills” detailing D12’s members drug use experiences and sex escapades, and radio-friendly “Purple Hills”, which became even more absurd after neutering lyrics to the point of incomprehension.

The British certification is the highest of only two ever been awarded to the single. “Purple Pills” got a gold in Australia, but that’s about it. The song has no certification in its home country.
