In an unexpected and somewhat unconventional gesture, former British boxer Amir Khan decided to interrupt Eminem during his meal to present him with an extravagant gift.

Both Khan and Eminem currently find themselves in the Middle East, attending the much-anticipated “Battle of the Baddest” event, which features the crossover boxing match between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and UFC legend Francis Ngannou. This star-studded event has drawn celebrities from across the globe, with Cristiano Ronaldo topping the list of notable attendees at the A-list pre-game gathering.

The Bolton native first spotted Marshall from across the table and excitedly announced his presence before expressing how surprised he was to realise that Eminem was a knowledgeable boxing fan:

Guys, look, we have the main man here. Eminem’s in the house! What’s going on, brother? I didn;t know your were that much of a boxing fan, bro. You know your boxing, bro!

Amir Khan seized the opportunity to approach Eminem while he was dining and bestowed upon him a limited edition WBC Championship-style watch. The on-screen situation appeared somewhat awkward, with Khan putting the watch around Eminem’s wrist while a friend recorded the interaction. Throughout the event, Eminem seemed slightly bewildered but maintained his composure.

Then, the former boxing champion shared the video with his 1.5 million Instagram followers. However, not everyone in the online community responded positively, as some viewed Khan’s actions as potentially invasive and uncomfortable for Eminem, assuming it was an intrusion of his privacy. Strictly speaking, that was not a private dinner but a closed event for A-listers, and Amir Khan has taken a ton of photos there with different stars. He also defended his choice to present Eminem with the watch, stating:

Bro, stfu. He’s a boxing fan and complimented the WBC watch only the fighters got gifted today. So I gave him mine. Move.

That was some opulent gesture of Eastern hospitality when a host is obliged to gift an item that a gust complimented, and Marshall didn’t look ready for this.
