Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up came in New York loaded with carbs, new merch and a familiar bathroom from the “Lose Yourself” scene.
The queue to the setting was impressive, but visitors look happy in photographs. Besides items made for sale and consumption, there are corners meant to commemorate the unique atmosphere of the “8 Mile” movie, like a giant blown-up page with the original handwritten “Lose Yourself” lyrics. There is also a carefully reconstructed bathroom from the set where everyone can try to address their reflection in the mirror with a motivational speech, or, at least, take a selfie.
Marshall advertised the pop-up earlier and there were some vague expectations that he would come to New York himself. He didn’t. But he reported back after the successful first day of the event.
