Cam’ron did not hold back after the Detroit Lions’ playoff loss, saying they should have gone with hometown hero Eminem instead of LiAngelo Ball.
The Detroit Lions’ season came to a disappointing end with a 45-31 loss to the Washington Commanders, and Cam’ron thinks he knows exactly who is at fault: LiAngelo Ball.
The basketball player-turned-rapper performed his viral hit “Tweaker” during halftime, but Cam believes the Lions missed a golden opportunity to bring in a real Detroit icon — like Eminem.
In a fiery Instagram voice message sent to the Detroit Lions account, he called out the Lions for their choice: “Y’all was feeling y’all self, and I had y’all back all season. And you know what fucked up everything? Y’all let Gelo Ball perform at halftime. What the fuck was that about?”
He did not stop there, suggesting that Eminem or Big Sean would’ve been a much better pick: “Y’all coulda had Eminem, y’all coulda had Big Sean. Y’all niggas fucked it all up. And this is the result of it. Sorry”.
Cam’ron’s shoutout to Slim Shady was not lost on fans, who quickly jumped on the idea. With Eminem’s legendary Super Bowl Halftime performance still fresh in minds, it’s hard to argue that the Detroit native wouldn’t have electrified the crowd.
While some blame the Lions’ loss on their on-field performance, Cam clearly thinks the halftime show was just as important — and Eminem might have been the spark they needed.
