Spotify sent Fifty a special plaque to recognise his streaming achievement.

“In Da Club” hit the 1 billion threshold in December 2022, but bureaucracy takes ages, or, in this case, six months, to acknowledge an obvious fact.

By the time the commemoration plaque arrived, 50 Cent’s biggest hit has already gained 1.18 billion streams and received its ninth Platinum certification. Anyway, now Fifty is not in a hurry, he did what he could back then, recording and releasing the song in 2003. Now he can sit back and see his legacy bearing fruit. This vibe you can get from the caption he left when posting a picture of his new recognition on Instagram:

Take your time make it a classic then it won’t go away.

It is not like Fifty really sit back and doing nothing nowadays. His busy producing and directing TV shows, working as an actor, making business deals etc. He doesn’t do much music wise but, as he sad in the caption, it won’t go away.
