At a Detroit rally, Obama brought the house down by giving Eminem’s iconic “Lose Yourself” a presidential spin.

After being introduced by Eminem, the former president couldn’t resist borrowing a few famous lines from the song that’s been an anthem for him throughout his career.

“I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous, but I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem. I noticed, my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy…”, Obama quipped, going through the famous lyrics. Then added, “I thought Eminem was going to be performing, I was going to jump out”.

While fans may have expected Eminem to perform, it was Obama who ended up delivering his own surprise performance. In his memoir “A Promised Land”, Obama revealed that “Lose Yourself” has been a motivational track for him throughout his political career. It was more than just music; it was a connection to grit, hustle, and staying grounded through the whirlwind of politics.
