This battle between most subscribed music artists started in 2013 with Rihanna on top with over 10 million subscribers and Eminem following closely.

There were many channels fighting for the place on top but this particular visualisation simplified the battle, leaving only 5 key players who stayed in this race all the time: Rihanna, Eminem, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

It is mesmerising to watch how it took six years to Bieber to overtook Rihanna or how Eminem, who was trying for years to bounce back from the last position, spurred to the second place in Autumn 2018 and stayed there for almost two years now, confidently gaining numbers.

Mind you, this video only covers Eminem’s post-Recovery period, the one that critics usually dismiss. And the one where Eminem has been evidently relevant to millions of viewers who keep him in this race to popularity.
