The main theme of 2018’s “Venom” soundtrack hit a new streaming milestone in the US.
Of course, on Spotify, the track hit 570 million streams; and for some, 500 million streams might not seem that impressive. However, this number reflects streams coming from all around the world, where the US population represents only a fraction of the audience.
Meanwhile, 500 million in question are counted only on US soil. Also, this number combines streams on different platforms, such as Spotify, Tidal, SoundCloud, Apple Music, and Bandcamp. Basically, any interactive music streaming service that allows a user to actively choose to listen to any song in the Digital Service Provider’s database without any restrictions on time or playback capabilities.
So, it is a big deal for “Venom” released on Em’s first surprise album “Kamikaze” in 2018, and then recently on his second greatest hits compilation “Curtain Call 2”.
