Eminem did not attend the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Press Conference, but his name still came up.

Dr. Dre was very focused on the importance of the upcoming event but also playful. A short exchange he had with hosts asking him about possible surprises during the show is a clear example:

Dr. Dre: I’m not talking about that. But yes. Absolutely.
Snoop Dogg: There won’t be any wardrobe malfunctions if that’s what you’re worried about.
Dr. Dre: Now, I had to talk Snoop and Eminem out of pulling their penises out. Especially Eminem.

Wouldn’t it be memorable? However, this is not the impression Dr. Dre wants to stay with the audience. His message is different:

Like I said before, this shot should have happened a long time. Hip-hop is the biggest genre of music on the planet right now. So it’s crazy that it took all of this — and all of this time — for us to be recognised. We’re going to go and do a fantastic show. And we’re going to do it so big that they can’t deny us anymore in the future.

The time is coming. This Sunday, February 13, Dr. Dre will headline this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show along with Eminem. Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.
