The lead single for upcoming Royce’s album “The Allegory” is out and its lyrics draw more attention than the fact that it has been recorded with Westside Gunn and produced by Royce himself. A shot at Royce’s former collaborator seems to be coming out of nowhere, but knowing Royce’s integrity it is clear that something has transpired between two fellow Shady artist.
On his verse Royce raps:
Yelawolf this is your first and your last pass
I ain’t gon’ put it on blast, your punk ass know what this about
You think it’s about being loud or trying to be hostile
Till you get found face down on the ground outside of Kid Rock house
Though you a vulture pundit I hope you get sober from this
Men like, women lie, so do numbers.
These are some strong words and while we do not know what has provoked them, now some recent Royce’s remarks start making more sense. For instance, in his recent conversation with Joe Budden Royce said:
We got a very open culture, it’s here for everybody to thrive. Some white people use that, and then go and do very evil things behind closed doors. Racist things. They make comments. It got to a point in life where if I see it, hear it, or am involved in it in any type of way, I have to start holding these people accountable.
