We Did It! Eminem's “Music To Be Murdered By - Side B” Debuts On Billboard 200 Better Than Projected

October 17 – for some of us, this day becomes the second birthday or something like another Christmas or New Year. But year after year, we wait for this day not because we will celebrate it by opening a bottle of champagne. Everything is a little more straightforward.

Today is Marshall’s birthday, a day that unites all fans of his work. It unites us because today, we are “on the same wave” – on the musical wave of the artist’s creativity. The artist who gave us a lot, and for some, became a real guiding star in the most challenging and dark times.

Another 17th day of October has come – let’s sum up some results of the year. Every year, we do something like a New Year’s rehearsal when the year is not over yet, but it’s time to remember the brightest moments that happened since Marshall’s last birthday.

There were a lot of exciting things, starting with the deluxe version of the new album “Music to Be Murdered By — Side B” (December 2020) to the 13th anniversary of his life without addiction to new music videos and collaborations to the long-awaited continuation of “Venom” with a highly anticipated theme song from Marshall’s (it was just one verse, but we are happy with what we get). And, of course, the most important event — Marshall opened “The Trailer” with his official merch and Mom’s Spaghetti, the place where people are waiting in the queue for 6 hours to get in. Now each Stan has their own destination, a must-visit point in Detroit.

Another highlight is the lineup for “Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show”, set to happen at the 56th final match of the US National Football League. And Marshall is one of the artists who will take the stage. This event, which will take place in February next year, will be one of the most significant for us, Em fans, and the artist himself. He is not the one to stop at what he has achieved, he conquers new heights year after year. And the Super Bowl is undoubtedly one of those prominent peaks. Incredible feelings. We are looking forward to it.

It’s been a good year not only for the fans of “Marshall the Businessman” and “Marshall the Rapper” – but we will also see Em in a TV show.

It is an excellent opportunity to enjoy Marshall’s brilliant acting. Even if it is just one episode of “BMF” (will be released on November 7), still we are excited about it. Marshall, on behalf of all fans of “Marshall the Actor”, a huge “thank you”! Honestly, every time re-watching “8 Mile”, I am even more convinced of his exceptional acting talent. So it is a great pleasure for me to see him play such an unusual character. And yes, of course, thank Fifty for this.

October 17 is a special day for us, which we are waiting for year after year. Do you know why?

This is another occasion to listen (probably for the thousandth time) to your favourite album, to re-watch his clips, funny videos, legendary performances, numerous awards, excerpts from interviews, maybe “8 mile”. Another chance to be convinced of his extraordinary talent, inextinguishable energy, and strongest character traits.

Yes, “we do this every day,” many will say, and I will certainly agree with you. But on October 17, everything sounds a little different. We listen to the same songs and watch the same clips as the rest of the days, but today there is some special flavour. The special sense of gratitude and joy that we live in the era of such an incredibly gifted artist. That we can attend his live shows (I hope he will bring us this joy for many years to come). We can get his autograph and some unusual merch, or eat at his restaurant. Many years later, we will share memories of these events with new generations, tell them how lucky we were 🙂

In the meantime, on October 17, 2021, we congratulate Marshall, our inspiration, on his birthday and wish him an endless current of creative ideas and health. After all, we intend to spend many more years with you, Em!
