Sports play an important role in Marshall’s life. It gives him a sense of normalcy, it helped him beat his drug addiction but also it shares the same values that Em holds close to heart.
Discussing the incredible work ethic of legendary basketball player Michael Jordan during his recent call to “Sway In The Morning”, Marshall notices that this is something that works both in sports and in music:
It’s the same thing for rappers. It takes a certain amount of talent but it also takes probably three or four times the work ethic versus the talent. I mean in some cases it might be equal but you don’t get one without the other.
