Love melts the coldest of hearts, as they say, and we have all just witnessed it. Inspired by the news that Eminem is expecting his first grandchild, Benzino recorded a video sending his congratulations and offering to leave their beef behind. In a hushed tone, Benzino preaches peace:
Today, somebody found out that they’re going to be a grandfather. And even though he once said that nobody wants to hear their grandpa rap, I still want to send my congratulations to Eminem and his daughter Hailie on the news that she’s about to give birth and he’s about to be a grandad. I think it’s a good time to put everything behind us. Let’s try to enjoy life and make some kind of statement right now. I’m not doing this as a joke — I truly want to congratulate Eminem, his daughter, and him on becoming a grandfather. I’m not one yet, but I’m sure that day will come, and I’ll be proud, just like he is. But with all the craziness going on, we need some peace. We need a statement so we can move forward. And here it is: congratulations to Eminem and Hailie. Let me know what the baby’s gonna be, and I’ll definitely send a gift for the baby shower. Congratulations, man, I’m sure you’ll be a great grandfather, and I can’t wait for it to happen to me. Love, bro.
It’s hard to recognize in this quiet, considerate man the same Benzino who was recently throwing Mom’s Spaghetti on the floor, stealing a restaurant’s sign on camera, and spewing hatred. Apparently, the mere thought of becoming a grandfather has sparked a drastic change of heart in him. While this isn’t the first time Benzino has declared their beef over, maybe this time he will follow his own advice — enjoy life and peace, leaving behind both the beef and the rapping.
