Eminem The Re-Up album cover

The Shady Records compilation reached 500 million Spotify streams. With this latest achievement, every Eminem release, including collaborative ones, has passed half a billion streams on the platform.

The compilation has followed the footsteps of “Hell: The Sequel”, which crossed this mark before.
Released in late 2006, “The Re-Up” was initially planned as a street mixtape to spotlight Shady Records’ roster. But as Eminem explained at the time, the quality of the material quickly elevated the project into a full-length album:

“Instead of putting it out there rough and unfinished, I thought we should add some other new tracks, make it a real album, and put it in the record stores to give these new artists a real boost”.

The project brought together Eminem, D12, 50 Cent, Obie Trice, Stat Quo, Bobby Creekwater, and Ca$his, with guest appearances from Lloyd Banks, Akon, and the late Nate Dogg. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell over one million copies in the US, earning a Platinum certification from the RIAA.
