Speculations about a possible release date and possible features on Eminem’s hypothetical upcoming album run rampant. But artists from the Shady can only laugh at them.
Mr. Porter, one of the oldest of Marshall’s friends and collaborators, was so stunned by the speculations that he even got involved in the discussion on one of Eminem’s fan pages. The page posted a summary of claims made by a very confident redditor, promising features from The Weeknd, Andre 3000, Post Malone, Elton John, Nas and more.
The claim made Mr.Porter wonder how these wild ideas find their way to the public. His comment started with a crying laughing emoji:
Please tell me where y’all come up with these theories and how they are rumours? I’m really interested in the process?
Somebody explained that it was on the Internet, so it must be true — a good enough reason for hopefuls to set themselves for a disappointment.
Yes, there are signs that Eminem is getting ready for a new release. But lists with blindly picked big industry names as Em’s possible collaborators do not have much credibility. However, they will also have a lot of attention, especially in the deliberate information vacuum created by the label.
Eminem likes dropping his albums as a surprise. Let’s get ready for a surprise.
