The March for Our Lives, a movement in support of legislation to prevent gun violence in the United States, appreciates Eminem’s statement on his new album.
This movement has been started by students survived in school-shootings and is supported by many including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg, Cher, Paul McCartney, Oprah Winfrey and senator Elizabeth Warren. People involved in this organisation are tragically familiar with the consequences of easy access to guns. They see track and video “Darkness” from “Music To Be Murdered By” for what they are – a passionate plea to put a stop on violence. And they share this sentiment. The March for Our Lives official twitter account shared Eminem’s video with a caption:
It’s one thing to use a platform, and it’s another to use a platform for good. Thank you @eminem for using yours to highlight an epidemic that’s killing hundreds everyday.
