Over the past few days, nearly 30 previously unreleased Eminem tracks have surfaced online. Drafts, reference tracks, long-buried disses, and more — fans have eagerly devoured this unexpected treasure trove.
However, as is often the case with unauthorised leaks, the artists involved are far from pleased. While Eminem, Paul Rosenberg, and other Shady Records officials have yet to comment publicly, the incident has not gone unnoticed. FredWreck, the acclaimed producer and sound wizard who has worked with Eminem on multiple projects, addressed the leakers directly through his social media, issuing a stern warning:
FYI to the criminal who’s leaking the Eminem music. We will find you. Street law will be applied. Ask ‘Koolo’ what happened to him last time he leaked. We know where he lives, and yes, this is a threat.
FredWreck’s reference to “Koolo” highlights past incidents where leaks shook the Shady camp. Koolo is infamously linked to several high-profile Eminem leaks:
Two songs from “Hell: The Sequel” leaked nearly a year early in 2010, later released as bonus tracks.
The entirety of “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” was leaked early on October 30, 2013, after Koolo obtained an advance copy of the CD.
Now, Koolo’s name is once again associated with the latest leak, dubbed “Straight from the Lab Vol. 3”, a 14-track collection. However, Section Eighty, a hip-hop forum once affiliated with Koolo, has released a statement denying any involvement:
Section Eighty and its previous member Koolo have nothing to do with the recent leaks, nor do we have any knowledge of why our name or Koolo’s name is attached to them. Our only assumptions are:
– These are AI tracks being sold as real tracks, and they wanted a name attached to them.
– The name of our forum would raise the prices for these songs.
Again, we have no idea where these tracks are coming from and are not part of it whatsoever. Whoever is claiming on Discord, Reddit, or other sites that these are coming from S80 or Koolo is lying for unknown reasons.
As the Shady team investigates, the leaks continue to grow in number, adding layers of intrigue to an already chaotic situation. With legal threats looming and the hunt for the leaker intensifying, the saga shows no signs of slowing down.
