Chuck Kelly, NCredible Music Senior Vice President, fakes innocence saying to the press that Eminem’s lines in “Lord Above” were unprompted, Nick Cannon has so much attention that he does not need any more and Eminem basically leaching from Nick’s popularity.
All these statements bend the truth so stunningly that they deserve a closer look.
So, commenting on the situation to HipHopDX Chuck Kelly said about Nick Cannon’s diss-tracks:
The first two was really just friendly-fire since he clearly had their beef still on his mind and had so much to say about it. People keep accusing Nick of clout chasing and that he’s doing it for attention. I don’t understand how that’s even possible, like how can even get more attention? He’s on television and the radio every day. The Masked Singer is No 1. It really isn’t that. And for 10 years, he didn’t say anything. He just minded his business. He pretty much let it go, and for Em to bring it back up — who’s the one clout chasing? Is it because Nick is visible everywhere? Is it because Mariah has another No. 1 song? We don’t know where it came from.
Don’t you, though? For years Nick Cannon used this Eminem beef as his claim to fame, reminding again and again about their old tension. We put this visual aid for you to refresh your memory.
Obviously didn’t listen to The Warning clearly.. got what he deserved on #FamilyTies pic.twitter.com/hZAqUNYUrA

Then Chuck Kelly expressed his righteous outrage with an old track Nick sampled for his diss to present Em as a racist, playing it as if some sort of revelation that should stain Marshall’s name now.
I didn’t know anything about that. How did anybody let him get away with that for so long? I can’t believe he got away with saying that. He’s got a great PR team because they buried that.
You really have an awful memory, Chuck. Or rather you do not care for truth and just feed the bullshit to people who are ready to eat it up. This track you are pretending not knowing anything about was leaked in 2003 by Benzino, another guy who was unfortunate enough to have beef with Eminem. This track was never officially recorded or released, this track was never something Eminem would sign. But that was bad. And Eminem owned it. Eminem had done a press conference where he explained the origin of a tape. He apologised for this song, calling his young age, anger and ignorance the reasons behind it. He said:
The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager. I’d just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African-American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it into today.
Since then anybody who wants to make a swing on Eminem goes straight to that tape from the beginning of the 1990s repeating Benzino’s accusations in racism and ignoring everything Eminem does and says that completely contradicts these accusations. As Eminem said in his 2007 freestyle “Step Right Up”:
I can do anything and apologize for it later as long
As it ain’t a racist tape from ’88, than I’m straight of that cannot be forgave
If I drank pee for 18 years straight and ate shit every day
On a porcelain plate that was shaped like a toilet with a fork and steak knife
For the rest of my life and had to watch my ex-wife get fucked by Vanilla Ice
Twice a day, cause I said N-I-G-G-A, when I was a teenager.
