The Spotify end-of-the-year data shows new Eminem’s achievements. Marshall has two of his projects listed among the Top 10 most streamed hip hop albums on Spotify in 2022.

“The Eminem Show” is, in fact, the third most streamed album of the year. That’s right, the project that just celebrated its 20th anniversary is the third most streamed hip hop release on the platform. The second album also has a classic status — “The Marshall Mathers LP” sits at No.8.

Overall, the Top 10 is dominated by Drake (3 albums), Kendrick Lamar (2 albums), and Eminem (2 albums). Three remaining slots are occupied by Tyler, The Creator, Gunna, and Future.

Let it sink in: two out of the ten most streamed albums this year were released in the pre-streaming era by the rapper, who just celebrated his 50th anniversary — in the year when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It’s the definition of longevity right there.
