American music industry trade publication Hits Daily Double just introduced its new Year-To-Date Project Activity Chart.
It is the first public-facing measurement of year-to-date performance of the 50 biggest titles of the year presented on a weekly basis. And it will provide it together with the numbers of sales and streams.
The first chart presents Roddy Ricch as a chart leader with Eminem closely following him in the second place. This chart, however, provides interesting insights in numbers behind the chart position. Now we can see side to side how drastically different, for example, album sales for Roddy Ricch (6,000) and Eminem (155,000). Admittedly, Halsey’s album sales look even more impressive on this list – but only if you do not know that her album was included in a ticket bundle for her shows, a move that granted every concertgoer her album and rocketed her album sales numbers sky-high.
