Eminem is taking fans on a trip down memory lane, revisiting iconic spots from his early days on the Detroit hip hop scene in a new teaser for Rhythm+Flow Season 2.

Eminem does not leave The D, on the contrary, he is bringing Netflix to the Motor City. In a teaser for the upcoming season of Rhythm+Flow, the rap legend takes viewers to St. Andrew’s Hall, a venue deeply tied to Detroit’s hip-hop legacy and his own rise to fame.

Sitting in the historic venue, Eminem reflects on its importance:

So, of course, Season 2 of Rhythm+Flow would come to Detroit to see me.
We are here in St. Andrew’s Hall. This is my old stomping ground — one of the spots I used to come to on Friday nights for hip hop. The battle scene in “8 Mile” was “The Shelter” downstairs in the basement. I’ve been here so many times, it’s like a second home to me.

Eminem also promoted the show on his socials, writing:

Had to visit @StAndrewsHall in The D where so much went down for @rhythmflow Season 2!!! 🎤︎ Catch me as a guest judge in the new eps. droppin 2morrow, Nov 27th. @netflix

It is no surprise that Detroit plays a big role in the show’s new season, with Eminem as a guest star. Fans can expect more than just bars — this is a love letter to Detroit’s indelible mark on hip hop.

Catch Eminem and more when Rhythm+Flow Season 2 drops on November 27, on Netflix!
