Eminem is not turning his blind eye to COVID-19 disastrous circumstances. In order to make a donation, Marshall offered sneakerheads an opportunity to get a decent pair of Jordans and help to fight against the pandemic at that.
In his Instagram post, Em pictured his custom Jordan snickers and shared a link to StockX, a sneaker marketplace:
“Cleanin’ out my closet… donating extra pair of my @jumpman23 @carhartt 4’s along with a vintage T to @stockx. Proceeds go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Link in bio”
The marketplace offers to place bids on exclusive products. The package gifted by Eminem features a deadstock pair of Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Carhartt (size 10.5), plus a vintage Undercrwn Detroit Slim Tee (XL).
Allegedly, only 313 pairs of these trainers were made. Of these, 10 were released exclusively through eBay, with all proceeds from the sale going to Eminem’s charity of choice. On average, bidding for the sneakers started at around $10,000. Final bids reached anything between $18,750 at the lower end of the spectrum and $30,100 at the higher end. So far this coveted gear brought to charities over $227,000.
