Fans of Eminem will remember the rapper’s daughter, Hailie, making it into his rhymes and music videos back in the day. Now, little Hailie is all grown up and the 17-year-old was recently named Homecoming Queen at her Chippewa County High School.
Local paper Macomb Daily reports that Eminem was on hand to witness his little girl take the crown. “Hailie came out with her mother Kim (Scott) when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn’t want to cause a scene — he wanted Hailie to have her own moment,” said one parent to the paper.
Another added that Eminem could hardly contain his pride and was beaming from where he was sitting. “He opened the door and looked out like – ‘That’s my daughter!’ He just looked like a proud father,” the parent said.
Eminem’s daughter has contributed greatly to his music over the years, both in inspiration and musically. Her vocals were used on “’97 Bonnie & Clyde” in 1999. She also appeared in his music video for “Mockingbird” in 2005.
No word on whether the teenager will appear on Em’s forthcoming The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
