Eminem Does Not Have a New Feature on This Album

No, Eminem Does Not Have a New Feature on This Album

An underground rap project packed with big names got many fans excited. The feature list includes names like Eminem, Proof, Snoop Dogg, and many more. However, Eminem’s role on the album appears limited to the album intro rather than a new verse.

Australian rapper Dheezy recently unveiled the cover art for Dheezy Does It, an LP reportedly in development since 2022. The album cover displays a long list of featured artists, with Eminem mentioned first. The tracklist provides more information about the album’s actual content. Indeed, it opens with the track titled “Find Out w/intro from Eminem ft KXNG Crooked”. It was enough for some fans to assume that the new KXNG Crooked collab with Eminem is coming soon.

Now, pay attention to this careful wording.

Fine print

According to the project description released by EDS Rap Collective, the independent label behind the album, Eminem did not submit a song verse. Instead, he is said to appear “on the intro for the album”.

The statement reads:

“This record pays homage to Dheezy’s #1 inspiration for music, Eminem, featuring the man himself on the intro for the album and verses from many other Shady Records affiliated artists…”

In other words, this is not an official new Eminem collaboration, despite several online posts already presenting it that way.

What the “intro” actually is remains unclear. It could be a spoken-word clip, a sampled interview segment, a voicemail-style message, or another licensed audio appearance. In his recent interview, Dheezy said that this track would go on Crook’s upcoming album as well, and that it was Crook who said that he could get Eminem to “hop on the intro”. In the context of Crook’s own project Eminem’s involvement would make more sense. Yet still, it is not a verse.

Star-studded tracklist

The rest of the project also seems to rely heavily on archival or previously recorded material. The label description openly mentions a “previously unreleased verse” from Proof. At the same time, the album also lists appearances by late artists, including Nate Dogg, Coolio, and Chino XL.

That is not unusual in independent hip hop releases. They often use licensed verses, archival recordings, DJ drops, remix vocals, or previously unreleased collaborations sourced through producers and label connections.

For instance, Dheezy announced a Proof feature alongside D12. Kuniva and Swifty McVay themselves previously confirmed that their upcoming album under the D12 name would include an unreleased Proof verse.

Some names attached to the project also make more sense than others. KXNG Crooked serves as executive producer for the album, which adds credibility to the release. Artists such as Planet Asia, Onyx, Kurupt, and Big Twins are also known for collaborating across independent rap scenes.

The label has also shared studio footage featuring Kurupt and Dheezy together.

Still, fans expecting a surprise new Eminem verse should lower expectations.

At least for now, Dheezy Does It LP looks less like an unexpected Shady Records event and more like a tribute-driven project built around archival appearances, industry connections, and old-school hip hop nostalgia.
