The YouTube channel Data Is Beautiful presented a fascinating visualisation of data on yearly global music sells by artists, a quarter by quarter from 1969 to 2019. You can see the rise and fall of new musicians and genres. And you can also see how Eminem, appearing on the popular music scene in the beginning of 1998, steadily goes up to the top to dominate charts for a decade and even after a sudden storm of young stars of the digital era stayed up there. It is really astonishing to see the gap between his accomplishments and the rest of the leader board in the beginning of the 2000s.
