Benzino’s new appearance on hip hop media casts light to another page of his disastrous life.
The Source ex-editor had a conversation with Queenzflip over Instagram, and it was as awful as ever, the glimpse into the mind of a maniac.
While Queenzflip tried to make Benzino admit that he owns Jimmy Iovine an apology, Benzino listed all his old sores and claimed to be wronged by everyone – from Royce da 5’9 to Paul Rosenberg to Eminem fans.
At the same time, his only method of discussions is, as always, to spit allegations and insults and shout over everybody. Once again, he was boiling over Royce’s tweet where the Detroit MC suggested Benzino take better care of his daughter instead of feuding on social media. Benzino implied that Royce is a paedophile and shouted: “Weirdo!!!” until Queenzflip managed to move him on to the next topic, just to discover later that Benzino’s daughter, who he is protecting from “paedos” by shouting at the screen, is 22 years old.
It is a trainwreck of a conversation throughout which Benzino cannot stop sniffing but stopped to snort a couple of lines. He clearly had difficulty staying on topic, but Queenzflip managed to extract more or less coherent list of people who, according to the fallen media mogul himself, owed Benzino an apology. The list includes Jimmy Iovine, the whole Source staff, Royce, the entire Eminem camp and Paul Rosenberg. He could not remember Paul’s name though and settled with “Everybody named Rosenberg, fuck it!”. It is not the most bizarre thing as he also included a guy who said something that upset Benzino, he doesn’t remember what, but still – he expects his apology.
What Benzino remembered, however, was the controversial Eminem track “Foolish Pride”, which was reportedly recorded back in 1988. The song he never meant to release and for which he apologised both in his music and in his book also, insisting that he does not hold this sentiment and never did. The track Benzino uncovered in 2003 and ever since tried to substitute with this damned old song everything Eminem has ever said and done. During this conversation, he tried to make Queenzflip play this song, getting angrier every time Flip dodged his demands.
It is difficult to watch in one piece, but this selection can give you an idea what a dark place Benzino is right now:
