Marshall’s iconic collaboration with Rihanna is his fourth song to reach the milestone of 900 million Spotify streams.
“Love The Way You Lie” is Eminem’s most-watched video on YouTube (it reached 2.3 billion views in October this year) and his best-selling single (it was certified 12 x Platinum and Diamond in February 2018). On Spotify, however, it is lagging behind three other tracks if we can say “lagging” about the song on its way to 1 billion.
The song surpassed the 800 million streams mark in June this year and added 100 million in under six months since. So there is a reason to expect that “Love Te Way You Lie” will bag a hundred million new streams by summer 2022 to join the 1 Billion Club. But not before “Without Me” gets there first – it has added 77 million new streams since September, so it hits 1 billion in weeks.
