Jack Harlow mentioned how much Eminem influenced him as a rapper more than once. Now we know that it was Jack’s mother who exposed him to Slim Shady’s bars.
Now, the “Industry Baby” co-star made it to the 2022 Forbes Under 30 music list, and a big piece about Jack mentioned the role his parents played in the rapper’s success.
Referencing an article published in 2017 in Louisville, the Forbes writer credits Jack’s father for teaching him the value of vulnerability and Jack’s mother for playing a lot of Eminem while he was in the womb. She also came up with the strategy that Jack adopted – to get good at something, you need to log in 10,000 hours of practice. The Kentucky rapper followed this advice, rhyming everything and everywhere, just like one of his idols, Marshall Mathers.
The rest is history. Jack Harlow is one of the fastest rising hip hop stars who is making streaming numbers, millions in revenue, and who recently made to recording a collaboration with Eminem, putting a new verse on the “Killer” remix.
