25 years of shared history have never saved a celebrity marriage from an ugly divorce. This rule applies to Dr. Dre as well now.
The most recent episode in his now-public relationship with his soon-to-be ex-wife Nicole Young took place in court where a judge rejected her request for $1.5 million to pay for her everyday needs, including security, her petition to accelerate her request for $5 million to cover her lawyer fees, and also her request for their January hearing to be moved to this month, reports TMZ.
Nicole Young’s legal team stated that she fired the security team that was paid by Dre because she wanted to distance from him and his controlling behaviour. At the same time, they claimed, she fears for her safety, especially with an ongoing stream of online abuse and death threats.
Dr. Dre agreed to pay for her new security team but no more that he was paid for a previous one. He is also paying for Young’s expenses pending the divorce.
