Over a decade after its release, “Fast Lane” just hit a new milestone across the pond. It has officially been certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Released on May 3, 2011, “Fast Lane” was the lead single from “Hell: The Sequel”, the debut EP from Bad Meets Evil, the lyrical powerhouse duo of Royce 5’9 and Eminem. Produced by Eminem, Supa Dups, and Jason “JG” Gilbert, the track stood out as a fan favourite and critical highlight of the project.

While “Hell: The Sequel” was a commercial success, “Fast Lane” had a more modest chart showing — peaking at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. But despite not being a chart-topper, the song’s reputation only grew stronger with time.

Already certified Gold in the US and Brazil, “Fast Lane” can now add the UK to its list of countries recognising the track’s staying power.
