Slim Shady vs. Marshall Mathers: THE FACE-OFF

After three major spikes during “The Death of Slim Shady” rollout, Eminem’s daily YouTube numbers have levelled up.

It has been nine months since “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” dropped, and t Eminem’s YouTube presence has gone through a serious glow-up.

Before the album rollout, Em was averaging around 11 million daily views globally on YouTube. But things shifted quickly once the new era began. On the “Houdini” premiere, Em’s channel saw 30 million views in a single day. The “Temporary” music video release contributed to 23 million views registered that day, and the release day for TDOSS boosted views up to 45.5 million in just 24 hours.

Of course, the numbers gradually eased after that surge — but they did not drop all the way back. Instead, they have stabilised at a higher level. Currently, Eminem’s channel is averaging around 14 million daily views globally.

Sure, YouTube’s user base keeps growing, but there is no denying the impact of TDOSS. The album clearly introduced Slim Shady to a new wave of listeners who are now diving into his back catalogue, discovering the different eras and sticking around for more.
