Yelawolf Reveals “War Story” Details: Double Album, Diverse Guests, Leaked Cover Art

Yelawolf revealed new info about his upcoming album, “War Story”. Two new music videos are coming before the album even hits shelves.

Yela shared some information with fans during his interview on Vlad TV and his own livestream on Instagram.

Two new singles will represent both sides of the upcoming project: “Trailer in The Sky” featuring Jelly Roll is coming straight from the “Michael Wayne” side of the album, and “Flash Lights” – brings the heat from “Trunk Muzik 4Ever”.

Both tracks are dropping in the next few weeks, so stay alert, as Yelawolf did not provide specific dates.

However, the Slumerican mastermind is not stopping there. He has a sixth single and video titled “Legend” lined up to drop after the album’s release. It looks like the party keeps going even after “War Story” officially drops.

By the way, a vinyl version of “War Story” will be available so that you can experience the album in all its analogue glory.

During the livestream, one fan had a question about a potential Eminem collaboration on the album. Yelawolf’s playful response? “Ask him”. While it might not be happening this time, Michael clearly doesn’t want to close the door on a future Shady-Yelawolf team-up.

For those wondering about a track called “Hot Water,” unfortunately, it looks like it’s being shelved for good.

Michael has also provided a “Mud Mouth” update. The movie is still in the works, but Yelawolf assures us the wait will be worth it. Additional animation is not cheap — it costs around $500,000 and takes time. But the more music Yelawolf makes, the faster he can pay for these costly but apparently necessary new bits. He has even seen a couple of animated scenes and assures the fans that they are fire!

The main intrigue still remains a new release date for “War Story”. Since it became clear that there will be no drop on May 17, there has been no official confirmation on the release date yet. However, Yelawolf recently mentioned June 7 as a possible target. Most recently, he said that at his own show after performing “Everything”, released as a single for the upcoming album.
