The “Zeus” collaborator White Gold shared a draft that might be made for an Eminem track.
Over a melancholic beat a cartoonish voice narrates what sounds like what a devil would whisper to Slim Shady from behind the left shoulder. There are words of temptation with alcohol, wealth and women, but the most poisonous jab seems to be a doubt in Em’s relevance.
Hey, Slim, wanna get wasted? You’ve got all the money in the world, I know you, boy. Look, I thought you was a rapper. Besides the money, ain’t it what are you doing that for? Maybe I’m wrong. And as the world turns, you know that public is moving on from you, right?
It seems unrealistic that anybody but Marshall himself would put in use a line starting with “Hey, Slim”. And it also feels very plausible that Em might add te voice of a deciever to his storytelling.
Of course, there is not a hint of an explanation coming from White Gold, the artist who has written a recorded a hook for “Zeus” from “Music to Be Murdered By: Side B”. But there is a lot of new theories flying around right now. What is yours?
