A smash hit recorded for the “Venom” movie franchise is halfway through to its 1 billion streaming milestone.
“Venom” closed the 2018 album “Kamikaze”, but its history goes well beyond this release. The track has become one of the longest-running TikTok trends and made millions of youngins familiar with Marshall’s music.
Another boost the track got last Autumn after Skylar Grey released “Last One Standing”, her take on the main theme for the “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” movie. Eminem laid down his verse on this song together with two other guests, Mozzy and Polo G. In anticipation of the release, however, many fans revised Em’s “Venom”, which has already gained a cult status.
And then, in October, Marshall released “Venom (Remix)” produced by D.A. Got That Dope, which offered a new perspective on the well-loved track.
Earlier this month, the RIAA certified “Venom” 2x platinum, marking over 2 million units the track sold in the US.
Meanwhile, the visuals for Eminem — “Venom” have surpassed 650 million views on YouTube:
