The 2022 American Music Award ceremony still had Eminem represented, even without physically having him in the venue.

Admittedly, Marshall has not released an album since 2022, so nobody actually expected him to get nominated or show up for no reason. However, we already know that the “Elvis” soundtrack, to which Eminem contributed an upbeat tribute, “The King and I”, snatched a victory in the Favourite Soundtrack category.

Marshall was not forgotten on the ceremony’s red carpet, as Tinashe evoked his spirit and offered a passionate rendition of “Lose Yourself”, the hit that just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

HipHopDX uploaded a video from the carpet without showing what exactly was a segue to this moment, but we can enjoy it without context.
