In a short video Swae shared on TikTok, he describes this hook as “A Great Vocal Warm up!”. As this hook interpolates the opening lines from Dido’s own successful single “Thank You”, it would be theoretically possible to attribute this video to this British singer. Nevertheless, Swae tagged it as #duet, indicating that he had “Stan” in mind.

And his 3 million following saw it strictly as a reference to Eminem’s classic. One of them even dropped an obligatory Stan joke, referencing famous lines: “dr swae, i wrote you but you still ain’t calling”. And Swae got the joke.
The young artist knows and appreciates Eminem’s music. And the respect is mutual. Em gave Swae a shout-out on “Premonition” from “Music To Be Murdered By”:
