Last Friday the single from “The Marshall Mathers LP” received the second platinum certification from British Phonographic Industry after having sold more than 1,2 million certified units in the country.
It took years but Britain in general is more difficult for American rappers to win over. The difference in accolades might be striking, for example, Eminem’s “No Love” is 4 times Platinum in the States but is only certified as Silver in the UK. However, Eminem now has 6 Multiplatinum UK singles:
1. “The Real Slim Shady”
2. “Stan”(feat. Dido)
3. “Without Me”
4. “Lose Yourself”
5. “Love the Way You Lie” (feat. Rihanna)
6. “The Monster”(feat. Rihanna)
