The veteran comedian’s latest venture into the rap world has people talking for all the wrong reasons.

Roseanne Barr is no stranger to controversy, but her latest move has taken things to another level. The comedian turned heads with her appearance in “Daddy’s Home”, a pro-Trump rap video featuring Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald, who has a complex, well-documented quasi-social relationship with Eminem’s figure. Decked out in blonde box braids, gold chains, and sunglasses, Barr raps, gloats about Donald Trump’s 2024 election win, and even throws shade at Eminem.

In the video, Barr raps, “They tried to cancel me and say that I’m a racist”, before repeating a gay slur and declaring, “The Spanish goin’ back”. These offensive lines, along with her antics — including flipping off the camera, attempting to twerk, and shaking her butt — have sparked widespread backlash.

Social media users were quick to react after clips of the video circulated online. One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, summed up the sentiment by saying, “Roseanne jumped in on the crazy train and drove it off a cliff”.

The video also features MAGA-themed imagery and intricate lyrics like, “We won, you mad, it’s done, too bad, boo hoo, so sad”, as well as Barr referencing her now cancelled sitcom by rapping, “Why they trying to turn Becky into Dan?” She also takes aim at Eminem, declaring, “Screw Eminem, bitch, I’m Roseanne”.

Barr’s collaboration with MacDonald is the latest in a string of pro-Trump statements from the comedian that ranged from unhinged rally speeches to calling him a “mother bear”.

While “Daddy’s Home” has garnered attention for its shock factor, the nonsensical yet offensive lyrics and bizarre performance have left many questioning Barr’s intentions and her grasp on reality.
