On December 15, 2017, Eminem released his ninth studio album, “Revival”. Critics met it with hostility, and the public bought enough copies to make it debut at No.1 in five countries, including the US and the UK.

Upon release, “Revival” topped the US Billboard 200, debuting with 267,000 album-equivalent units, 197,000 of which were traditional album sales. These numbers seem absolutely unattainable for modern day rappers. For comparison, Drake’s latest album, “For All the Dogs”, sold 10,000 pure album copies in its first week this year.

Our team looked back at the album three years ago, trying to assess its content and impact. Looks like now the record has become even more relevant and poignant than before. Do you agree that “Revival” is ageing exceptionally well in the current climate?
