Here’s a stat that proves Slim Shady’s staying power: Eminem’s compilation album, Curtain Call, outsold MGK and Trippie Redd’s collaborative effort in its 956th week.
That’s right. “Curtain Call: The Hits,” a collection of Eminem’s greatest hits released in 2005, continues to lazily rack up sales nearly two decades later. And the irony reaches its peak when you compare its numbers to MGK’s frantic attempt to get back into the rap game on the tail of a young, moderately successful rapper. Their joint album couldn’t lift as many sales as Em’s almost twenty-year-old compilation.

It shows how easily Eminem can dwarf other rapper’s achievements. Even that amount of sales will be enough for MGK to make it to the Billboard 200 and probably make him happy. But will it ever be good? Well, for some. But what it will never have – is the longevity that Eminem demonstrates with every one of his projects.
