NASAAN drops a joint with reknown Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo.
Nasaan released his first single, “Okay”, in 2017, and later on, he dropped his first EP titled “Kiss of Karma” in 2019. Icewear released both his first song, “Money Phone”, and his debut album, “The Clarity”, in 2013. The following year, Icewear made it to the 16-minute-long official Shady Records remix version of Eminem’s “Detroit Vs Everybody”, released on Trick Trick’s album “Outlaw”. Vezzo came into focus for some time because of his statement that young Detroit rappers miss support from Eminem; however, while sparking the discussion, this position has never escalated to a full-blown beef. Last autumn, Eminem and Icewear Vezzo shook hands backstage at 50 Cent’s show in Detroit, where both performed as guest artists. And most recently, Icewear rebuked Benzibo’s attempts to get him involved in Benzino’s feud with Marshall, saying that he would never go against a Detroit rapper, especially against Eminem, who, in his opinion, “is in the top 5 lyricists, dead or alive, flat out”.
And now, Icewear Vezzo is on the same track with Proof’s son.
NASAAN released “Cullinan Gang” hot on the heels of the success of his On the Radar freestyle, which had found approval both from the audience and his father’s friends, such as Eminem and Royce da 5’9.
This new song differs in style but bears the same raw but focused energy that NASAAN often demonstrates on his records. The artist, who is very attentive to the visual side of presenting his music, has also provided a creative music video for the track.
