The rising Detroit star warns about an album release on July 23. “Our album”, he says.
Nasaan tweeted mostly about his impatience and how much he wanted to share a song with his followers before the release. But this is effectively the first time he gives any specific dates referencing the album. Proof’s son has been very consistent this year, dropping a track after a track, but this is huge:
really really really want to put out a song for y’all before our album drops on the 23rd

Earlier this week, Nasaan also posted a photo taken in Royce da 9’5’s record studio, encouraging fans engagement with a promise of new music. Still, the majority assumed that he meant another stand-alone song. It seems like things are more serious.
The fans expectations are high. Firstly, Nasaan proved to be an interesting and authentic artist with an excellent ear and impressive rap skills. But also, not that long ago, the young rapper teased a collaboration with Marshall and even gave a short preview.
We know that Eminem supports all young artists on his label with a feature for their debut album, so it is not unrealistic to expect at least the same treatment for Nasaan. But considering how much mentorship and moral support Em offers to his best friend’s son – it is almost given that he is involved in one way or another. How exactly? We’ll see next Friday.
