Having sold 50,000 certified album units in France, “Music to be Murdered By” was awarded a golden certificate by SNEP.

Created in 1922, the SNEP is the national union of phonographic publishing that supervises sales numbers in France. The threshold for Gold is 50,000 sales equivalents that combine physical sales, streaming and downloads, with a streaming conversion rate set as 1500 streams for one sale.

You might think that MTBMB did not reach its Gold status in France fast enough. To put things into perspective – “The Marshall Mathers LP” only has its Gold certificate there. However, it has not been updated since 2001. Anyway, it is good news about another recognition of Marshall’s latest album.
