On January 17, 2020, Eminem released his 11th and most recent studio album, “Music To Be Murdered By”.

The album was released with no prior announcement yet still sold 279,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200, beating Halsey’s heavily promoted new record.

Alfred Hitchcock and Jeff Alexander’s 1958 spoken word/instrumentals album “Alfred Hitchcock Presents Music to Be Murdered By” inspired the album’s title, cover art, and concept. It gave a new perspective to a horrorcore sub-genre.

MTBMB spent the whole year on the Billboard 200 chart without interruption and has 121 charting weeks registered to its name so far. It has become Marshall’s sixth most streamed studio album on Spotify, with over 3.6 billion streams gained by now.
