Marshall’s ex-wife has been released from jail ahead of her court hearing and, according to local reports, transferred to a rehabilitation clinic.
While Esther Wolfe, communications director for the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, cannot verify whether she went to rehab, she confirmed that Kim Mathers is no longer in the county jail.
The treatment was a prerequisite for her release, as the judge revoked her bond for multiple drug and/or alcohol testing violations, on top of other alleged offences. According to Macomb Daily, the transfer happened on August 19. Effectively, Kim spent only a few days behind bars while her treatment placement was being arranged.
It is clear that Kim has not been left to deal with the situation entirely on her own. She has legal representation, and her family has remained concerned about her wellbeing. So, when an anonymous source said that Hailie was worried about her mother, it captured only one part of the picture. Like any family, the Mathers appear to be dealing with a difficult situation privately, with dignity and as little intrusive attention as possible.
The next difficult step in Kim’s saga will come on October 14, when three cases are scheduled for court. They include probable cause hearings over operating while intoxicated and assaulting a police officer, as well as a sentencing hearing for impaired driving and failure to report an accident.
